In what will likely be viewed by future historians (I'm pretty sure that qualifies as a paradox) as a major win for the anti-free civilization terrorists, Israel has agreed to attempt a "diplomatic" solution for what seems like the thousandth time in its short modern history. Hopefully Israel was able to inflict enough damage on the internal structure of Hezbollah this time to keep them at bay for a year or two. There is never any justification for taking the side of the terrorists, particularly in this battle. Moral equivalency and justifying the murder of civilians, in the end, could bring down civilization as we know it. I do not live my life in fear of terror or terrorists. I do live with a fear of what the useful idiots who try to justify terror and clearly don't understand its implications could bring upon us. |
