The Titans are poised to have a breakthrough to mediocrity this year. Actually, they've lost so much talent that many have predicted them to do even worse than last years 5-11 record. I'd tend to agree, except Jeff Fisher is simply the best coach in the NFL right now. He'll take the now VERY young Titans to somewhere between 7-9 and 9-7. 12 players with more than 3 years NFL experience. Oy! Ah well, it's going to be a fun year not having to worry about winning the AFC championship. On the eve of another football season however, I do lament that the Colts/Titans or Jaguars/Titans rivalries I expected to materialize from the AFC South (along wtih the natural Texans/Titans) did not due to the pathetic performance of all teams minus the Colts. Heck, while I'm on this tangent why are the Indianapolis Colts in the AFC South? I mean, I like being able to zip up to Indy to catch the Titans, but it just doesn't make any sense. If you're going to realign, do it right. Put Indy in the AFC North and move the freakin' Dolphins to the AFC South. WHEW. That's it. Football has driven me to drinking. This is due in no small part to the OSU Buckeyes and their uncanny ability to turn every single game into a last play decision. Ah well. Go Titans, Buckeyes, Irish, and Crusaders!
