Well, I think Dave's quote needs to be taken in the context of the linked post at the Conservatorium. A few of the comments from one individual are quite incendiary, and make several broadside accusations against our faith. The Church teaches that those whose eyes have been opened to the faith, and reject it are damned... there's a fundamental difference between believing this and living peacefully with others, or preaching that those who do not believe must be reclassed as sub-humans or killed.
Sorry, I don't see find the notion of telling someone they'll be "damned" in a hypothetical afterlife a very good way of "living peacefully" with anyone.
To compare that favorably to murdering nutjobs (who certainly don't represent the majority of Muslims, by the way) is a pretty awful argument.
But I like you, Chucky. I think you mean well.
